Construction Project Technician/Analyst

Position Overview

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Technician / Analyst to support transmission and infrastructure-related projects for one of our utility clients. This role provides administrative, financial, and technical support across multiple project phases, including construction closeout, material reconciliation, asset tracking, and project documentation management.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires collaboration with project managers, field crews, and accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, financial, and technical support for transmission and infrastructure projects.
  • Support project closeout activities by reviewing construction documentation, reconciling materials and quantities, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Review Z-sheets and construction closeout packages to reconcile unused or returned materials against design drawings and bills of material.
  • Maintain accurate systems of record by documenting material variances, asset changes, and project notes in WAM and related systems.
  • Support CPR activities and coordinate with accounting teams to ensure assets are properly capitalized and financial records remain accurate.
  • Review and interpret utility construction and design prints to support material reconciliation and as-built documentation.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain project, legal, and compliance-related documentation using PDFs, Word documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Communicate with project teams and field personnel to gather information, resolve issues, and support the timely completion of projects.
  • Assist with additional project support tasks and changing priorities as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in utilities, construction, engineering, or a related infrastructure environment.
  • Ability to read and understand construction and design drawings/prints.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile materials, quantities, and documentation discrepancies.
  • Comfortable working in a support role with shifting priorities and ad hoc assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, as well as PDF editing tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with field crews, project teams, and leadership.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and technical concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous utility industry experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with WAM or related asset management systems is a plus.
