Site Foreman
The Construction Site Foreman plays a vital role in overseeing and coordinating restoration
construction projects, ensuring that each phase aligns with company policies, procedures, and
industry regulations. This role involves hands-on leadership, effective communication, and a
strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
As a Construction Site Foreman, you will be responsible for organizing tasks, managing
schedules, documenting progress, and fostering a positive work environment with crew
members and subcontractors. Your expertise in construction management will guide the team
toward completing projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Scheduling:
● Coordinate construction activities in line with project priorities and timelines.
● Develop and manage work schedules for crew members and subcontractors, ensuring
efficient resource allocation.
● Serve as the main point of contact between workers and supervisors, facilitating clear
communication across all levels.
Supervision & Training:
● Direct and train crew members, ensuring proper skills are applied and safety protocols
are upheld.
● Supervise the usage of tools and equipment, enforcing adherence to safety and quality
standards.
● Monitor and document daily activities, materials used, inspections, and visitor logs.
– Budget & Resource Management:
● Ensure adequate manpower and resources are available to meet project needs.
● Track expenditures and maintain budget compliance.
● Resolve on-site issues as they arise, keeping projects on time and within scope.
Safety & Compliance:
● Enforce safe housekeeping practices and regulatory standards on-site.
● Guarantee that all safety precautions and quality measures are consistently met.
Documentation & Reporting:
● Compile and maintain essential project documentation, ensuring accurate
record-keeping.
● Provide progress updates to managers, engineers, and relevant personnel.
● Record crew time entries in timekeeping software.
Required Qualifications:
● Experience: 2+ years of experience managing construction crews, with a background
including stream, wetland, river restoration.
● Proficient in construction management software and familiar with OSH guidelines.
● Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems and ability to interpret blueprints,
drawings, and plans.
● Leadership Skills: Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a focus on safety
and effective problem-solving.
● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective
reporting and collaboration.
● Other Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in a
skilled trade are a plus. Must be in good physical condition with strong stamina.
